Camp Information

Camp information

Camp is open to boys and girls who are currently in grades 3-8 in the 23-24 school year.

Campers have the unique opportunity to learn from Palo Alto Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach Jeff LaMere and JV Boys Basketball Head Coach Brandon Byer.

All activity takes place inside the Peery Family Center, the premiere high school facility on the peninsula.

This is a great camp for players with high school playing aspirations and campers just learning the game.  All skill levels will be challenged at the Viking Basketball Camp as campers have the opportunity to learn in individual skill work sessions, station work, and competition. Emphasis is placed on translating individual skill work to a team and game setting.  It is one thing to become great dribbling against a cone, it's another skill entirely to translate that into a game setting.

Our staff is enthusiastic, conscientious and passionate about the game of basketball, playing it and teaching it.  We are excited about the opportunity to help your child grow through a game we love.

Campers will be dropped off in the mornings and enter the Palo Alto High School big gym.  Coaches will be there to meet them and campers will have free play until 9:00 AM.  At 9:00 AM, we will welcome the camp and begin stretching.

Campers are divided between age groups and  skill levels for the best teaching and learning experience.
